APS Provides a variety of Insurance Services for your business and for your employees.
– General liability insurance (GL), often referred to as business liability insurance, is
coverage that can protect you from a variety of claims including bodily injury, property
damage, personal injury and others that can arise from your business operations.
– Workers’ compensation insurance (workers’ comp or workman’s compensation insurance) is a
mandatory type of insurance carried by many businesses.
A workers’ compensation insurance policy provides benefits to employees for injuries and
illnesses arising out of and in the course of employment. The policy may provide payment for
medical treatment, temporary and permanent disability and death benefits.
This type of insurance is based on the gross wages paid to the employees and what job duties
the employee is completing. Higher risk of injury in the job will result in a higher premium. For
example, a company that provides tax preparation services will have a lower rate than a
company that provides demolition services.
APS has payroll platforms that integrate with the worker’s compensation insurance carriers.
This allows companies to utilize Pay As You Go Worker’s Compensation. Workers
compensation insurance payments are submitted per payroll based on actual wages
eliminating the upfront deposit and minimizes the audit at the end of the policy.
Workmen’s Compensation Audits
The annual premium audit (sometimes known as the payroll audit) determines your company’s
actual Workers’ Compensation insurance premium for the policy period, as opposed to the
estimated premium originally used on the policy. The annual premium audit (sometimes known
as the payroll audit) determines your company’s actual Workers’ Compensation insurance
premium for the policy period, as opposed to the estimated premium originally used on the
policy. At the end of the audit a company usually has a difference in wages then what was
estimated. Then either money credited or debited based on the outcome of the audit.
APS provides the service of preparing all the payroll paperwork requested by the auditor
for clients not utilizing the Pay As You Go Worker’s Compensation.
